Wyrdfell

The world of our Hytale realm — Norse at the root, with factions, a long history and languages of its own.

The world

Wyrdfell is where our Hytale realm takes place. Rather than a backdrop, it's meant to be lived in: the factions you meet have their own histories and loyalties, and the places you travel through carry names in the languages of the people who built them.

This page grows as the world does. Faction histories, maps and a timeline will be added here as they're released to the community.

The tongues of Wyrdfell

Wyrdfell has one shared trade tongue, Common, and ten constructed varieties across five families. Every Banner speaks Common day to day; its own tongue marks rank, faith and belonging.

Conlang words appear in play as titles, place names, oaths, inscriptions, item names and single-word flavor, and are always explained the first time they come up.

Klops have no language of their own. They borrow whatever the listener speaks, slightly wrong.
